There’s something so magical about elopements. The intimacy, the personal touch, and the raw emotion, especially when it’s set against a backdrop as stunning as Telluride, Colorado. When I had the opportunity to photograph an elopement there in the fall, I knew it was going to be something special. The crisp autumn air, the golden aspen trees, I mean what else could you want in a day?

The Adventure Begins

The day started with excitement in the air. These two decided to read a book to each other before they finished getting ready. They helped each other with their finishing touches before embarking off to share their vows.

A Cozy Celebration

These two decided to keep things simple and cozy with no guests, just the two of them and their love. It was intimate and raw and so sweet to witness and capture. I always feel so lucky and honored to be sometimes the only person who may hear their vows and promises to one another. I seriously tear up all the time shooting behind a camera. Their shared their vows to one another and we were all crying (yes, me too!!) with the most epic background behind them.

Exploring Telluride’s Best Kept Secrets

These two just wanted to explore this side of Colorado for their wedding day. We adventured around and went up a mountain to see the leaves and colors change as we went further and further up. It was such a fun day with these two and I absolutely loved documenting their day.

Whether you’re standing at the top of a gondola looking down over the valley, or walking through a quiet forest, the natural beauty here is incredible.
