A Vacation to Remember:

Kauai, known as the Garden Island, is famous for its breathtaking beauty, pristine beaches, and mesmerizing sunsets. It's no wonder it attracts countless couples seeking a romantic getaway, making memories that will last a lifetime. Our adventurous couple, let's call them Sarah and Mark, found themselves captivated by the island's allure. They took their love to the next level by hiring a professional photographer – yours truly – to document their blissful moments.

As we embarked on this photography adventure, the laid-back and carefree spirit of Kauai perfectly complemented the couple's joyful energy. We started our session on the secluded beaches of the North Shore, where the golden sand and epic blue water created a mesmerizing backdrop. Maddie and Anthony embraced the island vibes, playfully enjoying the waves, while I third-wheeled and captured their genuine laughter and affectionate moments.

The couple's infectious love was further enhanced by the stunning surroundings of Kauai. We ventured into the lush tropical forests, where towering palm trees and vibrant flora framed their every step.

The Importance of "Just Because" Sessions:

In our fast-paced world, it's all too damn easy to get caught up in the chaotic whirlwind of daily life and forget to celebrate our love and togetherness. That's why "just because" sessions, like the one Maddie and Anthony had in Kauai, are a total game-changer. They serve as a reminder of the significance of capturing those fleeting moments of connection. These sessions go beyond the milestones and anniversaries, allowing couples to raise a glass to their love simply because it's worth celebrating. So, whether you're on vacation or chilling in your hometown, taking the time to create memories with your partner is a gift that keeps on giving.

What the hell could be more thrilling than adding a dash of excitement to your travels by incorporating a photography session into your itinerary? It's not just about posing for pretty pictures; it's about reconnecting, having a blast, and capturing the very essence of your journey in a unique and tangible way. The carefree nature of a photography session while you're traveling allows you to embrace spontaneity, creating memories that are forever etched with the mind-blowing beauty of the destination. So, whether it's a romantic getaway, a kickass honeymoon, or a much-needed escape, imagine the joy and adventure that awaits when you choose to document your love while hitting the road.

Unleashing Undying Love: A Captivating "The Last of Us" Inspired Zombie Wedding Photoshoot

Let me be real for a second, The Last of Us awakened a creativity in me I haven’t felt for a LONG time! I have always been a creative person, I am a full time wedding photographer! But when I was a kid, I used to do these creepy styled photoshoots with my sister. We’d put blood all over a fancy dress. Or turn me or my sister into zombies. We would do different special effects makeup and go to a place that was blooming with flowers and take photos.

I always loved the seeing the differences between this creepy person/blood all over someone and this gorgeous whimsical location, or this beautiful dress. I’ve always loved it. But being a wedding photographer, I kind of had to put that “creepy” aspect on the back burner and haven’t done any kind of photoshoot like that in a long time.

When I was watching The Last of Us, I was instantly inspired to put together a styled wedding shoot involving mushrooms, abandoned buildings, and my favorite…clickers.

My heart is so thankful to everyone who helped me put this shit together. I seriously had my brother and sister in law helping with making little mushrooms out of clay and painting them to go in her hair. It took days and way too much money. Which was very extra of me but they turned out so cute.

And my sister took off time from work to model as a clicker and almost trip and eat shit doing it. And then walking by the highway covered in fake blood. Whicchhhhh I’m glad didn’t get us in trouble.

I spent countless hours going around different cities looking for the perfect abandoned building and last minute stumbled upon this one.

It felt like all my hard work paid off just in time for the season finale. So I quickly went to work editing and I dropped these photos the day of the season finale of The Last of Us on HBO!

This show has honestly meant so much to me and has awakened a creativity in me that I haven’t felt in a long time! It felt like I was tapping into my childhood.
Thank you thank you to everyone who helped with this.
