Eloping in Denver: A Courthouse Wedding Adventure!

Hey there, lovebirds! Are you ready to take the next step and say "I do" in a charming, no-fuss courthouse wedding? If you're dreaming of that spontaneous, vintage "running away to the courthouse" vibe, Denver has got you covered! Whether you're planning a last-minute elopement or just love the idea of a simple, intimate ceremony, Denver’s courthouses offer the perfect backdrop. Let's dive into the different courthouse options and everything you need to know to tie the knot in the Mile High City!

Denver's Top Courthouses for Your Elopement

1. Denver City and County Building

This iconic building, with its stunning neoclassical architecture, is the perfect place for a classic courthouse wedding. Imagine the grand columns and marble halls as your backdrop – it’s like stepping into a scene from a romantic movie! The City and County Building is located at 1437 Bannock Street. It's super convenient, and there's something undeniably romantic about those grand steps!

2. Arapahoe County Courthouse

Located just a short drive from downtown Denver at 5334 S. Prince Street in Littleton, this courthouse is a gem for those looking for a quieter setting. The historic charm of the Arapahoe County Courthouse offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Plus, Littleton’s quaint downtown area is perfect for post-ceremony photos!

3. Jefferson County Courthouse

Nestled in Golden, Colorado, at 100 Jefferson County Parkway, this courthouse offers stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. It’s the ideal spot for couples who want to combine their love for nature with a bit of history. The town of Golden itself is adorable, and you'll find plenty of cute spots for wedding photos!

4. Adams County Government Center

If you're looking for something modern and sleek, the Adams County Government Center at 4430 S. Adams County Parkway in Brighton is your go-to. This courthouse has a contemporary feel with plenty of natural light, making it a great spot for vibrant wedding pictures.

Why Courthouse Weddings Rock

  1. Quick and Easy: Courthouse weddings are perfect for last-minute planners. You can often get married the same day you apply for your marriage license!

  2. Budget-Friendly: Skip the expensive venues and invest in a fabulous honeymoon instead.

  3. Intimate and Personal: Focus on what matters most – the two of you! No need to stress about seating charts or large guest lists.

  4. Vintage Vibes: Channel that old-school romance with a courthouse wedding that feels straight out of a classic love story.

Steps to Get Married at a Denver Courthouse

  1. Apply for a Marriage License: Head to the Denver Office of the Clerk and Recorder at 201 W. Colfax Ave. Both parties need to be present, and don’t forget your IDs!

  2. Schedule Your Ceremony: Depending on the courthouse, you might need to book a time slot. Check their websites or call ahead for details. The amazing thing about eloping in Colorado is you can sign your marriage license yourself and don’t technically need witnesses or an appointment at a courthouse. You can just get your marriage license and sign it on your own time!

  3. Say “I Do!”: Dress up, exchange vows, and let the magic happen!

Oh, buckle up for the ride, folks, 'cause Britt and Katie's love story is one for the books! Picture this: it all started in the crazy world of Tinder, but don't be fooled – everyone swears it was through friends! Classic mix-up, right?

Now, first impressions, oh boy! Britt was over there thinking Katie was too cool and way too pretty for them. On the flip side, Katie saw Britt as this wild child and immediately sensed the impending whirlwind of fun. It's like they're the epitome of sun and moon, both the same and complete opposites at the same time. I mean, who doesn't love a bit of cosmic duality in their love story, am I right?

Britt talked all about their adoration for Katie's cautious yet adventurous spirit. It's like having the voice of reason with a sprinkle of wild excitement – the perfect combo! Katie's all about Britt's "fuck it" attitude, embracing life's short and sweet moments with a ton of adventures and crazy escapades.

Now, let's talk quintessential love moments. Hold onto your hats, 'cause their second date involved meeting a stranger off the internet (cue gasps) and spontaneously deciding to embark on a 3-day camping trip to a remote lake. No service, just trust and a whole lot of love! Cooking, hiking, getting to know each other – that trip marked the moment they fell head over heels.

Fast forward, and these two are like a match made in heaven – comfortable, happy, and at peace when they're together. It's like they've cracked the code to relationship bliss, and we're all here for it! So, grab your popcorn, my friends, 'cause Britt and Katie's love story is the heartwarming, adventure-filled saga we never knew we needed!

And let me tell you how we turned up the heat during Britt and Katie's photoshoot at this fabulous Denver bar, all thanks to the magic of Peerspace! Peerspace is like Airbnb, but for booking studios, and it's a game-changer. We snagged this cozy yet trendy bar that served as our backdrop for capturing these cuties.

From the moment we walked in, it was like stepping into a photographer's dreamland. Each room had its own unique vibe, offering a variety of backdrops that perfectly matched the eclectic personalities of our dynamic duo.

And then things got spicy toward the end of the shoot! Maybe it was the infectious energy or the couple's undeniable chemistry, but let's just say, the atmosphere wasn't the only thing heating up. Laughter echoed through the rooms as we let loose and embraced the playful side of their relationship. It was like capturing the spark that makes Britt and Katie's love so electric.

The Perfect Match:

MK and Angelica's love story began in the unpredictable world of Tinder. Despite the challenges of making connections on the app, their instant connection blossomed into a beautiful romance. Adventurous Engagement Session: Exploring the Pacific NorthWest

Let's go on a journey through the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest with one of my favorite couples. Picture this: a whirlwind three-day engagement session filled with beaches, forests, cliffside views, and epic photos that perfectly capture the essence of their love story.

Hey there, fellow adventurers and wanderlust enthusiasts! Let's go on a journey through the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest with one of my favorite couples. Picture this: a whirlwind three-day engagement session filled with beaches, forests, cliffside views, and epic photos that perfectly capture the essence of their love story. These two adventured all the way from Arizona to capture their engagement session in one of my favorite places in the country—the PNW.

Fern Canyon

On the first day, we set our sights on Fern Canyon, a place straight out of a fairy tale. With its lush greenery and trickling streams, it felt like stepping into another world. Did you know they filmed Jurassic Park here? And once you step foot in this incredible spot, you can totally see we! Kass + Gray wandered hand-in-hand through the moss-covered walls of the canyon and got their feet wet to see one of my all time favorite locations.

Redwoods National Park

Next, we visited more of the Redwoods National Park, where the air is crisp and the trees are chonky. Kass + Gray were in love with this whole area. They said they had never seen any place like it and said it was hands-down their favorite place they’ve ever been to! As your friendly guide and photographer, I had the privilege of capturing their love story against some of Mother Nature's most impressive backdrops.

We ventured through the ancient redwood groves, where the sun filtered through the towering trees, casting a magical, dappled light. Kass + Gray embraced, danced, and laughed, making every moment feel as enchanting as the surroundings.

BROOKINGS, OREGON

For our final day, we hit the beach for some fun in the fog. The tide had receded so far that we had the privilege of witnessing a thriving underwater world—starfish, sea anemones, and curious crabs. Kass + Gray played like kids, splashing and giggling as the ocean lapped at their feet.

Just when we thought the adventure couldn't get any better, the fog got even crazier, creating tho most epic moody atmosphere.
